4 Women giving back!
What do 4women.com and 4 “not very fit, crazy women in their 40’s” who are planning to climb Mount Kilimanjaro have in common? All are the creative outcomes of women touched by breast cancer, who as a result of their experiences want to do something on behalf of other women. Meet “Team Attitude at Altitude,” - Deb Hunt, Annemarie Smith, Helen Taylor, and Audra Selley. Their goal is to complete a 9-day trek up Mount Kilimanjaro to raise 20,000 pounds for th eUK-based charity, Breakthrough Breast cancer. On April 1st, 2008, Deb was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. She underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy and readiotherapy. During her no hair days, she opted for making a fashion statement (rather th
an a “cancer statement”) by wearing beaubeau head scarves. It’s Deb’s “kick ass” attitude through her cancer diagnosis and treatments and their collective desire “to make a difference” (and apparently a little wine) that inspired the four to combine their energy into a positive force of change on behalf of all women. 4Women.com is honored to support these 4 brave women and their efforts to raise money for breast cancer research. I may not physically get to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro with the, but 4Women.com will be there in spirit. Go 4Women!!! Visit their inspiring web site to learn more!

Great post! Having sponsored Team Attitude at Altitude\’s website (www.twin-peaks.co.uk), we are thrilled to hear the news has already spread across \’the pond\’!
With the huge number of people suffering from breast cancer, we need to do everything possible to help. This 1-woman will be behind the girls every step of the way!
Deb, Annemarie, Helen and Audra still need support. They have a \’wish list\’ of goods and services on their website and a link to donate online. Thanks for helping!

I am from 3 generations of breast cancer. This disease has been a part of my life from my earliest memories. I want to give back. 4Women.com\’s mission is to help other women living with cancer manage their appearance issues in a dignified and stylish manner. I feel a need to raise awareness to the emotional side of cancer as well as helping to find a cure. Thanks!

Susan
Thanks so much for your support and the offer of 4women.com ski hats - we will be the best dressed women on the mountain! We have been overwhelmed by the response we have had so far and have noticed that we have had quite a few hits on our website from various places in America! Keep checking in on the site to keep up to date with our fundraising events and hopefully we will edge towards our target sooner rather than later and we can start to think about the next mountainous challenge - the training!!
Many thanks once again, Debs, Annemarie, Audra & Helen
